Humor
One of the frustrations of any business
is the manager who won’t phone you back. There can be many
legitimate reasons why they haven’t returned a call, but
some professional salespeople use a humorous approach. Send them
a fax or letter with something like this:
-I’m sure you
have an excellent reason for not returning my calls.
-Since I don’t want to be a nuisance, please just tell me
what the reason is.
-Choose from the following options and please return this to me:
-I’m on safari and haven’t gotten any messages.
-I’ve been drowning in work. Call me next week.
-I’m not working here any more; call me in care of NASA.
-Please call me at ____am/pm on ____/____/____.
-I hate you and don’t ever want to talk to you.
-Other:__________________
You might be surprised how well this
works; after all, what do you have to lose?
