Tip 5 - From Dave
Dave Cook, of Texas, writes “One of the fastest ways to
place refreshment centers in close proximity and with very little
worry of security is to ask for Referrals. Having the referring
party contact the appropriate person and help set up an appointment
makes your job that much easier. One way we do this is with a
‘Thank You’ note. One week after the refreshment center
is installed, our contact person gets a ‘Thank You’
note. The note requests that during our next visit to load the
machines we would like their assistance in finding other locations
for our machines.”
Here’s a sample of a ‘Thank You’ note: “Thank
you so much for allowing us to service your company. We know that
you and your employees will be very satisfied! We would greatly
appreciate your assistance with referrals to other businesses
in your area that could benefit from our refreshment service.
If there’s anything additional we can do for you, don’t
hesitate to ask—and thanks for your business!”
Dave continues, “Of course when we visit it’s always
a good idea to have the contact person’s favorite candy
bar as a gift! ... We were able to place six refreshment centers
at different locations of the same medical association with this
method alone!” Dave also mentioned he uses an inexpensive
software program to make his cards and letterhead, and it’s
